Mercedes-Benz 280SL Coupe/Roadster (1967-71)

Traditionally configured as a "Coupe/Roadster" with a soft-top and an optional removable hardtop that has the distinctive "pagoda" design. All models were equipped with an inline-six cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection. The bonnet, trunk lid, door skins and tonneau cover were made of aluminum to reduce weight. Of the 23,885 280 SLs produced, more than half were sold in the US.  (wikipedia)
